DIRECTOR OLIVER HERMANUS’
REACTION ABOUT HIS QUEER PALM AWARDING
FOR “SKOONHEID” (“BEAUTY”)

When he was awarded by the Queer Palm, saturday May 21st, the south african director, Oliver Hermanus, has declared :
” Thank you to the organizers and to the jury of this very important award for cinema. When we made this film we were definitly challenging some radical issues in South Africa, and I’m very happy to have the confidence as there in Cannes.
